Skills needed to get enter into Interior Design Field,

Do/propose all type of Auto-Cad drawings of 2D & 3D views (Perspective views), hand sketches, presentation / shop drawings etc. of interior joinery & loose furniture works/products belong to projects like Royal Palaces, Star Hotels, Banks/Insurance firms, Multi storey Buildings / Complexes, Luxurious Villas etc., based on the information/ specification details in coordination with the Clients / Main & Design Consultants / Main & Sub-Contractors / Management / Projects & QS Depts.

Should have good knowledge of all interior joinery & loose furniture works & end products, joinery materials, ironmonger items & all other technical items/ associated works/products.
Attend meetings with Individual/Corporate Clients, Main/Design Consultants, Main/Sub Contractors & Suppliers or their representatives in terms of diagram/design works of various projects awarded or under finalization in coordination with Chain of Authorities including Management / QS / Projects / Production Depts.

Carry out site measurements based on the collective information / specification details / design references like photographs/ catalogues/ perspectives of desired articles to be produced in coordination with the Clients / Main & Design Consultants / Main & Sub-Contractors / Chain of Authorities.
Resolve technical problems independently and review the shop drawings / specification details with thorough scrutiny prior submission to production.

Detailing of all required details/information to team under Production dept. including design concepts, technical aspects / concepts related to cost effective execution and time to time technical assistance from commencement / execution / completion stages of production.

Referral of approved shop drawings/specification details to the Production team with proper technical assistance/suggestions in coordination with Projects / QS depts.

Should be analytical and make sure execution of projects both in factory/sites are in sequence with approved shop drawings & proper specification details and report to the Projects / Management concerned, in case of any technical discrepancies or any other manipulations.

Should be self motivated to manage various jobs to fulfill the tasks within specified time frame.

Should be able to define priorities and make planning in order to meet the targets/deadlines.

Fulfillment of given tasks in a cost effective budget / within the specified timeframes maintain creativity.

Able to record and maintain overall projects records for future references.

Sound knowledge in preparation of joinery shop-drawings,

Good knowledge on creating different concepts - Classic, modern, contemporary and Oriental designs for luxury residential

Trained with a strong knowledge in gypsum, ceiling, joinery

Responsible for the supervision of preparation and revising Workshop drawings following design 

information from the Consultant or Specialist Sub-Contractors.

Responsible for focusing on Structural/Infrastructural aspects.

Able to read and understand detailed design drawings,

Submission of Schedule, Drawings, Sample for Clients approval

Developing engineering drawings from the basic information into submission drawings

Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and
architects
